More about the work we do
NDF has identified five areas of need in the region known as the Niger Delta of Nigeria
- Health: To organize activities and initiatives geared towards awareness on disease
prevention and cure. With focus on health programs such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, small
pox, heart disease, etc.
- Education: This is to focus on the elimination of illiteracy by adopting literacy programs
and encourage higher learning for elementary and primary schooling. This foundation
would seek support for access to reading and writing materials for people in the region.
- Economic empowerment: Our foundation would organize and support initiatives in
sustainable community development. With the aim to improve existing infrastructures,
thereby creating immediate jobs and developing other revenue earning projects.
- Environmental Practices: Revitalizing the regional ecology by equipping the locals with
sustainable environmental friendly development attitudes. Demonstrate with eco-project
initiatives so the locals can identify and recognize the values.
- Informative Entertainment: Applying this medium as a vehicle in reaching the local
population effectively by adopting indigenous dialects in articulating our message.
Currently the Nigerian film industry has a huge local and world wide following. NDF would
use this form of art to educate and entertain, thus having a direct impact in our
community outreach programs.
