Niger Delta Foundation (NDF) Used Clothes Drive -  December 2007
We are now in that season of giving!

NDF would like to encourage donors or sponsor to participate in
this year used and suitable clothes drive initiative.

This year, we have chosen to provide these clothes for the Okere -
Warri Community. Warri is an oil-rich town in the Niger Delta
Region. However,  due to recent inter ethnic conflicts and decades
of developmental neglect has left families living in severe poverty.

NDF would like to encourage donors and sponsors to make a
difference this season in the lives of many families in Okere - Warri
Community.

Unfortunately, many would-be donors throw out perfectly good used clothes rather than deliver
them to Goodwill.

A clothes drive is a fun way to make it easier for would-be donors to make a difference, particularly
if you live in a multi-resident building, work at a large office, or belong to a civic club, church or
mosque.

The less privileged families in the Niger Delta Region need all types of gently used clothing,
particularly clothes suitable for tropical weather, formal clothes (to attend job interviews), and
shoes (which frequently wear out). It's helpful if donated clothing is clean, reasonably wrinkle-free,
and on hangers.

NDF would accept assistance in collecting and shipping these items to our associate Charity
Organizations in the region. These Organizations would then distribute the clothes accordingly.
